Chip Hamer of Poetry on the Picket Line recites a poem to Royal Parks workers outsourced via French multinational VINCI Facilities attending a picket outside the Old Police House in Hyde Park as part of joint strike action by the United Voices of the World (UVW) and Public and Commercial Services (PCS) trade unions. The joint strike, with members dual carding over pay, conditions and the sacking of a member of staff, is believed to be the first between a TUC and a non-TUC trade union and follows the launch of a legal challenge by the Royal Parks workers against indirect racial discrimination by the Royal Parks.
