London, UK. 20th July, 2021. Members of the PCS trade union working for the outsourced contractor ISS stand on the picket line outside their workplace at the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) on the second day of a 3-day strike. The striking cleaners, security guards and other support staff at the government department are demanding an end to low pay, improved working conditions, bonuses for having worked through lockdown, annual leave from last year and a Covid return-to-work protocol.
