2021-03-18 HS2 hedgerow removal in the Chilterns

Wendover, UK. 18th March, 2021. HS2 contractors clear trees and hedgerows in preparation for the high-speed rail link close to Wendover in the Chilterns. Clearance work is now taking place during the bird nesting season along a section of the route which contains well over one hundred hedgerows between Great Missenden and Wendover to the north of the Chiltern tunnel section of the £106bn rail link. The Chilterns is designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).
