2021-02-21 HS2 tree felling in Wendover

22 images Created 21 Feb 2021

Wendover, UK. 20th February, 2021. HS2 security workers guard an area of woodland alongside Small Dean Lane which is currently being cleared during the hours of darkness for the HS2 high-speed rail link. Anti-HS2 activists based at the nearby Wendover Active Resistance Camp are opposing the destruction of the woodland, which is known locally as The Spinney. Earlier in the week the landowner had been 'horrified' to discover at 4am that his trees were being felled unexpectedly by HS2 Ltd.
