2020-08-24 Crackley Woods Protection Camp

12 images Created 25 Aug 2020

Kenilworth, UK. 24th August, 2020. Crackley Woods Protection Camp sits alongside Crackley Woods in Warwickshire and a site which has been taken over by HS2 for the high-speed rail link. It is one of a series of such camps set up by anti-HS2 activists along the route of Phase One of the line from Euston to north of Birmingham. The activists oppose the rail project primarily on the grounds of its hugely detrimental environmental impact but also on the basis of cost (it is currently estimated by the Government to cost £106bn).
