Matt Hancock, Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, leaves the Cabinet Office after chairing a meeting of the Cobra Emergency Committee to discuss the coronavirus outbreak. Ministers from the Home Office, Foreign Office, Department for Transport, Department for Education and Ministry for Housing, Communities and Local Government also attended the meeting convened after the Medical Director for Public Health England stated that the coronavirus outbreak was ‘highly likely’ to arrive in the UK. On leaving the meeting, Matt Hancock explained that current clinical advice is that any risk to the public in the UK 'remains low'.
