2020-01-20 Bailiffs return as Stop HS2 tree protection continues in Colne Valley

Contractors and enforcement agents acting on behalf of HS2 enter the Colne Valley wildlife protection camp which was reoccupied by activists from Extinction Rebellion, Stop HS2 and Save the Colne Valley two days previously. Some of the activists, who are seeking to protect ancient woodland threatened by the high-speed rail link, had been evicted from the camp over the course of the previous two weeks.
