UCL cleaners, porters and security officers outsourced via Axis and Sodexo and belonging to the Independent Workers of Great Britain (IWGB) trade union begin a strike to end outsourcing and zero hour contracts. The strike is expected to be the largest ever strike of outsourced workers in UK higher education.
