2019-10-23 Jeremy Corbyn leaves to meet Boris Johnson

4 images Created 23 Oct 2019

London, UK. 23 October, 2019. Leader of the Opposition Jeremy Corbyn leaves his home to meet Prime Minister Boris Johnson on the morning after Parliament rejected the Prime Minister's fast-track timetable for ratifying his Brexit bill. The Prime Minister had stated that the bill would be withdrawn should the EU agree a delay in the approval process until January 2020 and that he would instead push for a general election. The Labour Party must now decide whether to agree any request for an election, for which a two-thirds majority is required in the House of Commons.
