London, UK. 13 October, 2019. Kurdish supporters of the YPG march in protest against Turkey’s invasion of Kurdish-held territory in north-eastern Syria. The Kurdish autonomous region of Rojava was established in north-eastern Syria in 2012. According to the UN, 130,000 people have left their homes since the launch earlier this week of the assault by Turkey and its proxies among Syrian rebel fighters. At least 38 civilians and more than 80 Kurdish fighters are reported to have been killed.
