Climate activists from Extinction Rebellion take part in a Critical Mass bicycle ride from Waterloo Millennium Green to Hammersmith Town Hall via Hammersmith bridge on the third day of their ‘Summer uprising’. The activists have three demands for Hammersmith and Fulham Council: to pass the proposed motion to declare a Climate Emergency; to keep Hammersmith bridge closed to vehicles; and to commit to safer cycling routes. Cllr Stephen Cowan, Leader of the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham, responded on behalf of the council.
