London, UK. 12 July, 2019. Members of the Cleaners and Facilities Branch of the IWGB (Independent Workers of Great Britain) trade union protest outside 5 Hertford Street in Mayfair, which also houses exclusive private club Loulou’s, to call for its kitchen porters, recently outsourced through ACT, to be paid the London Living Wage and given suitable terms and conditions including sick pay, holidays and pension contributions. The IWGB members urged guests not to enter the private club and handed out leaflets explaining the basis for their action. Numerous unmarked security guards were on duty outside the private club, with two police officers also in attendance.
