2019-06-17 Heathrow expansion consultation

13 images Created 17 Jun 2019

London, UK. 17 June, 2019. An aircraft on the final approach to Heathrow Airport over houses in Cranford. On 18th June, Heathrow will publish its airspace and future operations consultation on its “master plan” for Heathrow expansion following approval in principle of a third runway by MPs last year. Heathrow wishes to increase the number of flights from the cap of 480,000 flights per year imposed when Terminal 5 was built to 505,000 flights per year in 2021 - an additional 68 take-offs and landings every day - and to 740,000 flights per year should a third runway be constructed.
