London, UK. 3rd June, 2019. The first day of President Trump's 3-day state visit to the UK. Following his arrival at Stansted airport on Airforce One with his wife First Lady Melanie Trump, the US President flew on Marine One to Winfield House, the official residence of the US ambassador in London, and then on to Buckingham Palace for lunch with the Queen, a visit to the Royal Collection and an inspection of a Guard of Honour. He and his wife were then accompanied to Westminster Abbey by the Duke of York, where they placed a wreath on the grave of the unknown warrior and signed the visitors' book. After afternoon tea at Clarence House with the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall, he returned to Buckingham Palace for a state banquet hosted by the Queen. A number of small-scale protests took place during the day, notably a five-banner drop at Vauxhall Bridge organised by Amnesty International and a noise demonstration outside Buckingham Palace during the evening.
