Windsor, UK. 11 May, 2019. Ali Mushaima, son of Hassan Mushaima, the leader of a major opposition party in Bahrain, fasts outside the Royal Windsor Horse Show site in the grounds of Windsor Castle to draw attention to the mistreatment of his 71-year-old father, who has been imprisoned, tortured and denied medical care in Bahrain, on the occasion of the hosting by the Royal Family of King Hamad bin Isa al-Khalifa of Bahrain at the equestrian event. In 2015, 15 MPs wrote to the FCO to call for action to urge Bahrain to end the mistreatment of Hassan Mushaima.
