Campaigners from Campaign For Nuclear Disarmament (CND), Stop the War Coalition, the Peace Pledge Union, the Quakers and other faith groups protest opposite Westminster Abbey against the holding of a National Service of Thanksgiving to mark fifty years of the Continuous at Sea Deterrent (CASD), the 24/7 365 days a year patrol by Royal Navy Vanguard-class submarines carrying nuclear Trident missiles, attended by dignitaries including the Duke of Cambridge and the newly appointed Defence Secretary Penny Mordaunt.
