London, UK. 13th March, 2018. Rival pro- and anti-Brexit activists gather outside the Palace of Westminster on the evening of votes on a 'No Deal' Brexit in the House of Commons. Earlier, MPs had amended the Prime Minister's motion ruling out a no deal Brexit on 29 March to a motion brought to a vote by Yvette Cooper MP which ruled out no deal entirely; that motion passed by four votes. The government motion as amended passed by 321 votes to 278 (a majority of 43), again rejecting a no deal Brexit. Neither vote has legal force. The Prime Minister will now put forward a motion on extending the Article 50 negotiating period for a vote tomorrow.
