Windsor, UK. 22nd February, 2019. 50-60 activists from grassroots campaign groups Reclaim the Power and Fuel Poverty Action attended a family-friendly protest outside the headquarters of Centrica to call on the British multinational energy and services company to cease its support for fracking operations through its partnership with shale gas company Cuadrilla Resources. The campaigners erected a mock fracking site, arranged tours of that site and gave speeches while children were engaged in activities nearby. Security guards and around fifty police officers from Thames Valley Police, including mounted police, were deployed for the protest around the Centrica headquarters.
