Activists from the Bahrain Institute for Rights and Democracy (BIRD) and Campaign Against the Arms Trade (CAAT) stand in solidarity outside the Bahrain Embassy to mark eight years since the Day of Rage in Bahrain, brought about by a pro-democracy movement then crushed by the Bahraini regime with support from the Saudi Arabian military. Speakers called for the release of political prisoners held in Bahrain and for the UK to stop licensing arms to Bahrain (over £100 million in arms licences have been granted since February 2011).
