2019-02-12 Pret-WLM homeless hostel

3 images Created 13 Feb 2019

London, UK. 12th February, 2019. The Pret Foundation, a charity founded by café chain Pret a Manger, is opening a hostel at WLM St. Luke’s in Kennington in partnership with West London Mission to provide assistance to the homeless and people living in poverty. It will initially accommodate 13 people for up to one year, with plans to expand to 26 by the end of the year, and will be run in conjunction with the company's Rising Stars project to offer employment in cafés to formerly homeless people. London was selected as the location because one-third of the nation’s homeless population is located in the capital.
