Campaigners from Amnesty International UK set up a 'barbed wire beach' outside the headquarters of TripAdvisor as part of a campaign to draw attention to the fact that the online tourism company arranges holidays in illegal Israeli settlements in the Israeli-occupied Palestinian Territories and to call upon them to cease doing so. A new report by Amnesty illustrates how TripAdvisor and other large online tourism companies Airbnb, Expedia and Booking.com profit from the illegal settlements and contribute to their existence and expansion.
