London, UK. 14th December, 2013. Supporters of Hizb ut-Tahrir Britain protest outside the Pakistan High Commission to call for the release of their spokesperson Naveed Butt. Naveed Butt is reported to have been abducted by Pakistan's security services from outside his home on 11th May 2012 and his current whereabouts are unknown. Hizb ut-Tahrir, founded in Jerusalem in 1953, is an international pan-Islamic political organisation with the ultimate goal of establishing a unitary Islamic caliphate in the Muslim world, ruled by Islamic sharia law and with a caliph head of state elected by Muslims.
