Angela Rayner, a candidate for the currently vacant position as Deputy Leader of the Labour Party, leaves TUC Congress House where the trade union Unite had been deciding who to back as Labour Leader and Deputy Leader. It was announced soon after by General Secretary Len McCluskey that the trade union would back Rebecca Long-Bailey to succeed Jeremy Corbyn as Labour Leader and Richard Burgon as Deputy Leader.
